ETHEL LINDSEY
Ethel Lindsey (E.L.M.C.A) is a Paris-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her soulful voice and refined songwriting. Original vocalist behind the song later turned into Bob Sinclar’s hit “World, Hold On,” she has collaborated with Next Evidence, Sophie Delila, Geyster and Mato. Her debut album Pretty Close—a blend of soul, funk and AOR—will be released on Favorite Recordings in October 2025.
Ethel Lindsey, also known as E.L.M.C.A, is a Paris-born singer-songwriter, musician and arranger. A soulful and versatile vocalist, she performs on piano, keyboards, synthesizers and bass. Self-taught from an early age, she was discovered by producer Bernard Saint-Paul and went on to collaborate with artists such as Next Evidence, Sophie Delila, Geyster and Mato.
Her debut studio album Pretty Close, recorded at QDS Studios on a vintage Neve console and featuring musicians from Aldorande and Camarão Orkestra, will be released on Favorite Recordings in October 2025. Her sound blends soul, funk and AOR with rich analog textures, drawing influence from Stevie Wonder, Prince, Chic, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bobby Caldwell and Steely Dan.
